The Deli Seattle is a daily updated website focused on the independent music scene of the Seattle Area.

Mission Statement
The Deli Seattle is a resource for Seattle musical artists and fans. We want to be a place for bands to share their music with others, and for fans to make their own decisions about what local music they enjoy.

CD Submission Policy
The Deli Seattle only reviews music from artists based in Seattle and surroundings.

At this time we only accept digital submission through our CD Submission System here.

For added exposure, you can post mp3s and a blurb about your band on the local Open Blog.

The Deli Seattle Staff

Jeff Lane- Editor

Shoegazer, Fender Tele player, absurd literature writer, reverber, French New Wave film aficionado, road-tripper, horticulturalist, music journalist, talented sleeper, boxing fan, soccer fan, avid listener and watcher of the Seattle music scene.

Tyler King- Contributor

Tyler was raised in Seattle's northern suburbs, then drawn further north by Mt. Baker backcountry and a higher education.  After a few years and a few stints traveling abroad, the Pacific Northwest will always be home.  Musically, his tastes range from ambient and experimental to electronic , indie-pop to heavy sludge.  Tyler also contributes to travel/music blog GRISL.  He is an attic-studio loop-musician, restaurant industry lifer, lover of all things Barcelona, and an unabashed sandal-wearer.

Andy Marble- Contributor

Andy is getting older in age but remains perpetually in school. He primarily focuses on Seattle's hip-hop scene (which is better than you think) along with other minor duties around The Deli. At concerts he likes to stand in the back on account of him being far too tall, and with the right amount of alcohol you might even see him dance. You know he is odd because he prefers Seattle in the winter and abhors warm weather. He also knows more about movies than you do.

Wes McMahon- Contributor

Between wishing he were Daniel Plainview and working toward becoming a better hunter/gatherer, Wes likes to listen to music - some of it even pretty good music, pairing well with whisky.  Native to central Washington, as well as Seattle, he's a pretty damn good puddle dancer.  His favorite food is food.

Ariel Lane- Contributor

In 2004, Ariel moved to Seattle at the tender age of 18- just, just barely missing her beloved grunge movement!  She is a Deli photographer and music consultant for all things rock and/or roll related.  She enjoys running long distances, sci-fi/fantasy books and cheese.

Ben Applegate- Contributor

Ben was born in Seattle and raised on the Eastside. He has been going to local shows since he was old enough to drive and can remember when they tore down RCKNDY. He grew up listing to indie rock, emo and punk, but his tastes have since grown to include electro and metal. He can usually be found at a bar on capitol hill, or getting brunch around two in the afternoon
