Bitch’n Releases New Political Single

Bitch’n just released a single off their upcoming album Let's get Easy, motivated by the “collective feminine growl that is sounding across this country and world.” The song, “On the Edge” is packed with a taut anxiety that makes your back stiffen and your fists clench. Dissonant beats and jangling chords reproduce the pain and frustration left over from this past week's political turmoil. Chanting the lines in unison, the members present a forceful unified front. "On the Edge" is a battle cry made for screaming at the frontlines of this war.

Bitch'n will be at the High Water Mark Lounge along with Nasal Rod and Wild Powwers (Seattle).

Mood Music: Ice Queens - "The Lights Get Dim"

It's the eve of a new year and here we find ourselves, yet again. Endlessly scrolling through our Facebook events feed wondering what to get into tonight is only so fruitful an effort when there are almost too many things to do on one of the most banging nights of the year. Luckily, we've got some Ice Queens queued up to get us through the afternoon.

For those that haven't gotten a chance to see the amazingness that is Ice Queens live, they'll be playing the Bunk Bar New Year's Eve Spectacular tonight along with Bitch'n and Witch Mountain

Until then, enjoy this somewhat Sunny Day Real Estate sounding delight from Ice Queens. It'll definitely get you in the mood for tonight.

Turn Your Halloween into Homieween

Even though Halloween may be lacking in amount of days off from work and school, it's still hands down the best holiday to celebrate with your homies. There are quite a few events going on this weekend that would allow for such activities, but they may not cater to them as much as Homieween '16.

Dig A Pony's night of costumed craziness will be hosted by everyone's favorite funnyman drummer Papi Fimbres along with some commentary input from DJ T-Kray (Theo Craig), so we'll definitely be entertained in between the evening's stacked bill.

Indie rockers Months will share the stage with the funky punk of Bitch'n, the experimental alt-rock from Helvetia and a SUPER SECRET HEADLINER that's leaving us all sorts of curious and intrigued. The mystery headliner is set to go on at midnight, truly bringing in Halloween official properly.

Homieween 16' is TOMORROW and for $10 you'll strut tough through the 8pm doors and subsequent laughs, with music kicking off at 9pm.

Fog Father make their video debut with "RIP"

Treefort is finally here and many Portland bands are making the trek out to Boise to represent our city. Among them is the infectious indie pop of Fog Father, who've got some great things in the works. Last night was their tour kick off show at Rontoms and today they're making their music video debut with "RIP," off their Razzle Dazzle EP. The video is just at trippy as the song itself and a fair indication of how fun they are onstage.

Fog Father will be rockin a double play day at Treefort, playing the Gritty Birds Showcase with fellow Portlanders Bitch'n & And And And as well as their official Treefort performance at the Linen Building at 7:30pm. If you missed them last night and won't be in Idaho, enjoy "RIP" below.
