Fine Points

Fine Points (Members of Sleepy Sun) and The Spiral Electric Support The Warlocks at Brick and Mortar - 6/3

The San Francisco based psych shoegaze band, The Spiral Electric and Fine Points, the new formation of a band featuring members of the successful local psych-soul band, Sleepy Sun are going to be performing live at Brick and Mortar Music Hall on June 3rd.

Fine Points are so new that they have yet to release any recorded material, so this show should be some incentive to massage your curious nature (if you possess it) and see what the band can actually do. Obviously, The Spiral Electric is a great live band, and the legendary neo psych band, The Warlocks will be in town to put on an always stellar performance. The Warlocks are an indispensable band to the Los Angeles and Bay Area neo psychedelic music scene. They've opened doors for countless current local bands and helped set the sonic standard for the washed out, reverb latent garage rock style that we've all become accustomed to knowing as a huge chuck of the local music community's signature sound. If you want to know where current San Francisco neo psych-garage rock got born, check out this show.

Fine Points and Color War Support Morgan Delt at The Chapel - 2/4

Bay Area based bands, Fine Points and Color War will support Sup Pop Records artist, Morgan Delt at the Chapel in San Francisco on Wednesday, February 4th. Fine Points and Color War are new underground bands who quietly feature veteran (kind of a big deal) local musicians. Fine Points has been known to include members of the San Francisco based psych soul band, Sleepy Sun and Tim Cohen of The Fresh & Onlys plays in Color War.

This is one of those shows that you can totally miss if you're not in the know. Luckily you have us here at the Deli to tell you that attending this show means you'll be walking into an underground rock gold mine.

Newly signed Sub Pop Records artist, Morgan Delt will be headlining the show. His experimental rock music will softly melt your face and lead you down a rabbit hole of tightly composed art nouveau alternative sounscapes. This is going be a cool show. Don't miss it!

White Cloud Fine Points Dylan Shearer Play Hemlock Tavern Tonight - 9/26

White Cloud, who will be headlining the night at the Hemlock Tavern tonight, takes psychedelic melodies and infuses them with Ian Curtis-like vocals, filled with heavy effects and a memorable arrangement of harmonization. Their song, “Car Wreck” features a heart beat-reminiscent intro, which is fast and loud, and then, breaks off into a dreamy chorus. Fine Points, who regrettably don’t have music readily available, feature members of Sleepy Sun. Lastly, acoustic singer/songwriter, Dylan Shearer will open up the night with a simple combination of vocals and acoustic guitar. In his song, “How We Could,” his vocals are soft and longing, potentially bringing an ease into the acts for the night.

Be sure to head on out to this diverse array of local artists at the Hemlock!- Victor Casillas Valle
