What Will Happen to Santa Claus

Back in 2008 The Giving Tree Band released a great Christmas EP that contained mostly covers of classic Christmas songs, but one original "What Will Happen to Santa Claus". The band has now released a fun and festive animated video for the track that contemplates the impact global warming will have on the North Pole and in turn Santa's Workshop. Merry Christmas!





The Giving Tree Band

The Giving Tree Band are releasing a new live album, Like A Freight Train, on April 7th (preorder). They recently released a video of a live performance of "These Days" by Jackson Browne.

The band is constantly on tour and down at SXSW this week. You can catch them next at City Winery on May 2nd with Hot Buttered Rum.

AEMMP Records SXSW Showcase

If you are heading down to SXSW and think you may feel a little homesick than you need to take note of the Columbia College AEMMP Records SXSW Showcase. The event takes place on March 13th at Bat Bar and feature a great mix of hip hop and indie rock including Carbon Tigers, The Giving Tree Band, Joey Purp, Dally Auston and Alex Wiley.

The Giving Tree Band "Dead Heroes"

The Giving Tree Band have released the video for the second single from their recent release "Vacilador".

You can catch The Giving Tree Band at Double Door on Dec. 29th with The Shams Band and Ed Anderson.

The Giving Tree Band on Daytrotter

Daytrotter released their session with The Giving Tree Band today. The band performed five tracks including the new track "Brown Eyed Women" from their forthcoming LP Vacilador.

The band will be releasing Vacilador on October 2nd and performing at House of Blues with Old Shoe and The Ragbirds on Oct. 4th.
