Mallgoth revival group Love Nothing recently featured their single "Waiting for Godot" in Common Ground Records' second massive compilation "Good Vibes." September proceeds to the 91-song comp go to fund the Keep A Breast Foundation.

Additionally, Cindy Sukrattanawong (Littlest Sister, Batwings Catwings, ex-Dustin and the Explosions) joins as Love Nothing's new bassist following the amicable departure of Cesar Alas (The Unending Thread); see her debut performance with them tonight at a Los Angeles DIY house show.

Los Angeles and Oakland based label Redacted Collective will host a series of shows to celebrate the release of their second annual mixtape, featuring new tracks from Genevieve Artadi, Love Nothing, The Unending Thread, Old Notes, and more. The string of shows will span Berkeley to Eagle Rock through late-August and early-September. Catch the first show at Gilman's on the 26th, followed by the Hi Hat on the 27th, rec center on September 2nd, and All Star Lanes on the 9th. The mixtape is set to release on August 24th on Redacted Collective's Bandcamp.

Where in 2011, DIY noise pop polymorphs Batwings Catwings debuted with the angularities of Peacock Collection, it's now 2016 and My Chemical Romance is reuniting. As for BWCWs, they now channel the sincerity of skatepunk with a new bassist: Cindy Sukrattanawong (Littlest Sister, Dustin and the Explosions) replaces Joshua Crampton in the quintet led by Clay Johnson. Their new EP "Coast to Coast" shares five earnest remarks toned with emo pop's histrionic melodicism and textured in gain—dissonance and feedback cameo in songs like "Totally Outrageous" and "1000 Volts".

Beyond vape memes and that seemingly facetious name, Los Angeles' guilty pleasure Love Nothing boasts guitar crunch and drum blasts heavy enough to break your jaw. The mall goth foursome, fronted by guitarist/vocalist Nicholas Waits, stands at the forefront of revived sincerity in emocore, blending Circa Survive's melodic embrace and Dinosaur Jr.'s neck-hanging, pulverizing tone.

SFV's raw modal-soul polymaths The Unending Thread have released a video to "La Casa De Mi Padre", the second song to their split EP with Forget It — which is out and free to stream, by the way. Cooped up at the Henhouse Studio (confimed that Julian Tallman-Rogatini raises chickens), the trio delve into lyrical self-actualization and drool-worthy double-tapping that splashes near-obscene amounts of color over the grisaille landscape of the forseeable future.

On a more serious note, The Unending Thread faces off with Forget It at The Smell on February 4th's "AMP vs. AMP Deathmatch" where the two bands will celebrate the Los Angeles release of their split EP by performing songs and piledrivers on each other. The trash talk surrounding Dustin and the Explosions, Haricort Vertt (fka Josh Abrahms), Love Nothing and Ferbus also comes to a head — there will be blood, or at least some drawn-out carnage.
