The Electric Magpie The Spiral Electric and The Blank Tapes Play The Chapel TONIGHT

Come celebrate the holidaze with resident Bay Area psychedelic rockers, The Electric Magpie and The Spiral Electric tonight at The Chapel! They'll be opening for the dreamy beach-rock trio, The Black Tapes. Having evolved to a lineup of bass, primitive drums and guitar, this new instrumentation gives front man and founding member Matt Adams a new stripped down sound to explore. Songs like “Coast to Coast” and “Holly Roller” from this year’s release, Vacation benefits from this new approach, allowing the group’s endearing vocal harmonies to really shine.

Be sure to stop by The Chapel to check out this awesome line up tonight. -Ethan Varian

Mr. Elevator & The Brain Hotel Cellar Doors and The Spiral Electric Play Brick & Mortar Music Hall TONIGHT

San Francisco natives, Cellar Doors, will be bringing their heavy rock psychedelic infused sound to the bill alongside 60s-esque psych-pop band, The Spiral Electric. To celebrate the most recent release of Mr. Elevator & The Brain Hotel's album, “Nico & Her Psychedelic Subconscious,” Brick and Mortar Music Hall will be hosting a night of great psych-rock bands TONIGHT. All of the bands find ways to infuse and simultaneously transcend the psychedelic genre, making it their own. Expect a large amount of synths, reverb, and wah-wah. Yeah, I’m excited too.

The night will range from garage rock to more traditional psychedelic music, and this show is one that will keep you dancing or grooving throughout the entire night. It is definitely not one to miss! - Victor Casillas Valle

Modern Pantheist The Spiral Electric Mamri Play Neck of the Woods TONIGHT

In a sudden thrust of great psych rock shows taking over the San Francisco Bay Area recently, Neck of the Woods will be showcasing three bands that will surely impress. Headlining the show while currently on tour, Modern Pantheist who possess a classic psychedelic and the oh-so-notable synths and lo-fi sound. Their track, "Lust For Hearts" even brings a nice guitar addition with tons of wah effects.

Adding on to the psych bill, Spiral Electric who'll be bringing a much more classic rock sound to the line-up, featuring Led Zeppelin-reminiscent guitar riffs, and an overall harder sound. Their song, "Slow Burn" is a long instrumental that will get you feeling epic and pumped. Mamri, a new band that was recently formed from the two separate bands Psychic Jiu Jitsu and The Electric Magpie, have yet to release anything online and are slowly starting their debut playing live shows. They do, however, come from a background of fun choruses, a focus on musical aesthetics, and a knack for love of tea.

Make sure you make it out to the show! You won't regret it! -Victor Casillas Valle
