NAH Opening for Mykki Blanco at PhilaMOCA Sept. 15

Menacing, bombastic beats that authoritatively engulf their surroundings, shifting the dial in a raw-real street style that hits now while pointing toward the future, NAH smacks with sonics. While percussion consistently asserts its presence, atmosphere-altering, electronic sequences illustrate the morphing, combative setting in which this music resides. Simultaneously meshing dark, dramatic structures with dance grooves tying in a sense of torment with vocal aggression, the results are an ear-popping, edgy, experimental brand of hip-hop. Tonight at PhilaMOCA, he lays the groundwork, at this R5-presented show, for Mykki Blanco, whose debut solo album Mykki will be released tomorrow. A Deli NYC Video Premiere: Googie - “Big Mouth Arcade”

Pair up Jimi Hendrix's penchant for psychedelia and Luda's gravelly inflection and you get a close approximation to the Jersey-cum-Queens rapper affectionately known as Googie. Prolific member of the intrepid Karma Kids label, Goog's newest album ‘Tis What ‘Tis builds on an already impressive catalog of work with a tighter, more polished, and enthralling release. The Deli is proud to premiere his new video for “Big Mouth Arcade.” Produced by Blockhead, this banger is a glimpse at his mania via the streets of his West New York neighborhood. ‘Tis What ‘Tis is available here. - BrokeMc

New Music Video: "By The Light" - Moor Mother

Avant-garde sound sculptor Moor Mother, a.k.a. Camae Ayewa, premiered her new music video for "By The Light" earlier today over at Impose Magazine. The Patrick JF Smith-directed creation does an excellent job of playing off the eariness of the track and capturing her tale of urban horror in a a fitting setting before Ayewa spits fury and demonstrates the ability to control her own destiny, no matter the circumstances, through her convictions, words and art. "By The Light" can be found on her new full-lenth album, Fetish Bones, which is available via Don Giovanni Records. Moor Mother will be celebrating her record release in Philly on Saturday, September 24 at Yung Kandy Collective, sharing the stage with NAH.

New Music Video: "Silly Me" (Feat. Young Savage) - Alexander Charles

Alexander Charles, a.k.a. Azar formerly of the hip-hop collective Ground Up, recently released some new material as a well as a music video for the track "Silly Me" (featuring Young Savage). As he describes his rise via the hustle, Charles progresses from cruising along on a deserted highway alone on a bike to "luckily" hitching a ride with an attractive femme fatale in a sweet, red Cadillac convertible. While things appear on the upswing, the plot takes a drastic twist, which proves the old adage - "never hitch a ride with a stranger" - even if she's quite fine.
