By the sounds of it The Meringues natural personalities are cranked up to the max while performing together which gives their live shows a contagious energy alongside their bubbly punk rock. Their debut album drops on Friday October 12th and contains this lead single “Tell Me Twice.” Give ‘er a spin and check the Meringues release party at the Mansion in Kingston. – Kris Gies

Life Sentence Reissue

Classic Thrash Punk trio Life Sentence reissued their self-titled debut LP last week. The original LP was released in 1986, and the tracks have been completely remastered for this release.

Life Sentence was the work of Tom O’Connor (Drums), Joe Losurdo (Vocals, Bass), and Eric Brockman (Guitar, Vocals). Eric sadly passed away two years ago, but this reissue stands as great representation of his and this groups impact on the ’80’s thrash scene in Chicago.
