Multi-instrumentalist Julian Dente debuts chill alt rock outfit YØUTH

Nashville's Julian Dente has endured the difficulties of the ever-changing music industry to finally release his years-in-the-making project Blame under the moniker YØUTH. Ascribing to the post-pop-punk aesthetic of groups like Brand New, YØUTH reminds listeners of the mid-2000s after it grew up, matured, and mellowed out a little. Dente plays almost all instruments on the album, an ambitious (and successful) feat for a debut. - Chris Thiessen

Legendary Shack Shakers shakin' The Basement (10.28)

The rambunctious Legendary Shack Shakers, fronted by JD Wilkes, released their latest album, After You've Gone, just a couple months ago. Their lo-fi brand of americana-tinged rock and roll is infectious as it draws on southern traditions from Cajun New Orleans to old Appalachia. This Saturday (October 28th), Wilkes and co. will be shaking The Basement beginning at 7:30 PM ($10/$12, 21+). Check out their newest music video below, and head out to the show! - Chris Thiessen
